With a quick reach to the back of the computer you no longer have to remember special presses of the multi-function power switch to access the Menu, Reset, or Special functionality. (The latter is used by cartridge images where the physical cartridge had a button, notably \"freezer\" cartridges such as Super Snapshot or Action Replay.)\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eInstallation\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe module installs with no drilling, fasteners, or adhesives. \u003cem\u003eRefer to Appendix G of the C64U User's Guide for connector locations as needed.\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDisconnect the power cable (and probably all others) from the computer.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eOpen the computer case by removing the three screws along the front of the bottom. \u003cem\u003eThey can be tight from the factory. Use the appropriate size screwdriver to avoid damage.\u003c\/em\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eDisconnect the keyboard and LED cables to remove the top of the case.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eConnect the buttons device to the four-pin \"Buttons\" connector on the mainboard, to the left of the FPGA board (No. 16 in the user's guide). \u003cem\u003eOrient it so that the \u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eblack\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e or \u003cspan style=\"color: rgb(255, 42, 0);\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ered\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e wire connects to the pin labeled \u003cstrong\u003eGND\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/em\u003e\n\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSlide the buttons module into the open switch slot between the audio (No. 5) and cartridge (No. 4) connectors.
